“Innovation is key,” Dr. Santosh Pandey, MANUU holds workshop on E-Governance

8888Hyderabad: “Innovation is key, there is no limit to human brain”, students must be encouraged for start-ups and faculty for publications and patents,” said Dr. Santosh K Pandey, Additional Director, Scientist-‘E’, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), GOI in the inaugural of the workshop on “E-Governance Standards and Guidelines” organized by Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) at Department of Computer Science & Information Technology, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU).

He was speaking as the Guest of Honour. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor presided over. 200 students and volunteers participated in this workshop.

Dr. Santosh K Pandey emphasised the importance of API to achieve interoperability, capturing the audience’s attention with his visionary insights.

He threw light on various Digital Governance projects implemented by the government.

“User friendly Portals must be developed. The department should add “Accessibility and Standardization” as an Elective course,” suggested Dr. Santosh.

Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan said that the being MANUUites, Urdu has given us the idea of distinctiveness and possibilities. MANUU has reached 40:60 ratio of girls and boys which is a great achievement in terms of Gender Equality.

He asked for support from MeitY to provide facility, equipment and background for the development of CS&IT department.

Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar and Mr. Hemant Khogta, Director, C-DAC also addressed on the occasion.

Mr. Karimullah Shaik, Senior Director-AAI, C-DAC Pune, delivered a comprehensive overview of the workshop on e-Governance Standards and Guidelines.

Prof. Abdul Wahid, Dean, School of Technology delivered the welcome address.

Ms. Afrah Fathima, Assistant Professor convened the inaugural session  and Mr Hemant Khogta, Joint Director, C-DAC, Pune proposed vote of thanks.

Staff tournament inaugurated at MANUU

The Directorate of Physical Education & Sports, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organizing Maulana Azad Staff Tournaments 2023-24 for Teaching & Non-Teaching including contractual staff-Men & Women  of MANUU Campus.

Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor  was the  Chief Guest and Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar was the Guest of Honor for the inaugural function held on Thursday evening. Sri.Sunil Kumar. S, DGM, Regional Office, Rangareddy, Canara Bank, Prof. Mohammed Abdul Azeem, Chairman (Games & Sports Committee), Dr. Md. Yousuf Khan, Principal Polytechnic, Dr. A Kaleemullah, Deputy Director, DPE & Sports, the Assistant Directors – DPE&S, Assistant Professor in Physical Education and Coaches of MANUU  attended.

The  competitions will be held for 100 mtrs Run, Shot Put, Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis, Badminton, Cricket, Volleyball.

Large number of Teaching & Non-Teaching staff, Students were also present. The tournament  will continue till 01st November 2023.
