Siraj shines in Asia Cup Final by taking more wickets and donating cash prize to ground staff

Siraj emerged as a ‘Hero’ in the Asia-Cup final match with his tremendous bowling performance. As well as, he won the heart of the people by donating a cash prize to the ground staff.

He declared to donate his player of the match cash prize $ 5000 to the ground men, who played a key role to keep the pitch in good state. Ground staff at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo were much happy to have generous person who found them deserving for the prize.

Mohammed Siraj bowled the best of his ODI career and picked six-wickets for just 21 runs that led India to bag 8th Asia Cup title following India beat Sri Lanka by 10 wickets.

Siraj’s generous move is lauded most by the cricket fans and call him a ‘Hero’. Many reacted and expressed their views on the Asia Cup Final’s match.

“I think, cash prize should go to the ground staff as they are most deserving one. All possible measures were made to keep the ground dry,” said, Mohammed Siraj.

Prior to this, 50,000 USD prize money was announced by ACC & Sri Lanka Cricket Board for the Ground Staff.

Mohammed Siraj, emerged as a second bowler to bag six wickets in men’s ODI Asia Cup final after Ajantha Mendis, as he picked 6-21 in a tremendous bowling.

Siraj played well and became the first Indian bowler to take four wickets. While, Hardik Pandya claimed 3 wickets and Jasprit Bumrah had a scalp to his name as the indian fast bowler took all wickets and bowled out Sri Lanka team for just 50
