The family members demanded Hyderabad City Police to take immediate action against Meridian Restaurant staff and owner for allegedly being involved in the killing of their son.
Mohammed Liyaqat’s father sought justice and transparent probe in the matter, whose son was reportedly beaten to death by Restaurant staff in presence of police and the delay to take him to the hospital caused his death.
“I want the City Police Commissioner to take immediate note of the Panjagutta police role in this case as my son was not given medical aid despite several requests. If he had shifted to the hospital perhaps my son would not have died. I kindly request the Police to take stern action against those who are responsible in this case,” demanded, deceased’s father.
It may be mentioned here that Mohammed Liaqat, resident of Hashamabad, Bandlaguda went to the ‘Meridian-Restaurant’ for dinner along with his friends on Sunday night.
The brawl broke out between customers and Restaurant staff over extra curd with Biryani that led to the killing of Mohammed Liaqat.
A complaint has been registered and investigation is on. Apart from this, CCTV footage of the brawl is being circulated on social media showing the quarrel taking place in front of the police personnel.
