Amjed Ullah Khan, Spokesman, MBT alleged that the step motherly treatment was being meted out to the rain affected areas in the old City of Hyderabad including Malakpet, Yakutpura, Charminar, Bahadurpura, Chandrayangutta, Karwan Assembly Constituencies.
“since last three days heavy rain is coming and the entire administration has turned a blind eye towards the problems of old city residents. Many houses of low lying areas of above Assembly Constituencies are full of rain water damaging their entire belongings including food items and with one pair of clothes. They have been forced to leave their houses and no help or assistance is being provided on behalf of GHMC can be seen,” alleged MBT spokesperson while visiting the localities in the old city of Hyderabad on Tuesday.
He further alleged that GHMC Emergency Cell is totally failure and given phone numbers were not properly responding to complaints.
“There has been advertisements of crores of works taken up being given in newspaper’s and social media is full of development work adds but on ground the reality is zero.Whenever the rain comes the entire areas submerged, roads full of potholes, traffic jams and traffic constables busy in taking photographs,” Amjed Ullah Khan hit out at Government of Telangana.
Mr Khan said that CM KCR has visited old city only once in nine years and his son K T Rama Rao being the Minister of MA&UD should have visited the areas affected with recent rains but he preferred USA visit instead of solving his Department problems.
