In the past 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 158.8 was recorded in Mahabubnagar. While in Hyderabad Borabanda 88.3 mm, Moosapet, 77.5 mm and Jubilee Hills 74.5 were recorded heavy rainfall during the 1-2 hours spell of rain in West-Central Zone in GHMC Limits.

The rain started around 12 midnight with thunderstorm lashing Nalgonda, Suryapet, Khammam District. Srilingampally, Shaikpet, Rajendrangar witnessed heavy rainfall.

The water logging and overflowing drains caused much inconvenience to the people at several places in Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

The people were asked to take precautionary measures in case of heavy rains and do not step out without any purpose during heavy rainfall.
