Hyderabad: Ganja peddlers’ gang busted 23. 4 kg ganja and Rs 40 lakh cash seized

The Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSANB) along with Golconda Police here on Wednesday busted a ganja peddler’s gang. Almost 23. 4 kg ganja, Rs 40 lakh cash, and other things worth around Rs 4 crores have been seized from their possession.

G. Chakravarthy, DCP, H-NEW clarified that a four-member gang including a juvenile has been arrested by the officials during a joint operation carried out by TSANB and Golconda Police. The arrested persons have been identified as Gautam Singh, 21, resident of Nanakramguda, Neetu Bai,
Madhu Bai and another 16-year-old boy were selling the ganja under the veil of grocery stores.

“In a joint operation carried out by Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSANB) and Golconda Police busted a gang involved in a ganja peddling network. Today, we have arrested four members found selling Ganja. We have seized 23.4 kg ganja, Rs 40 lakh cash, a car, mobile phones, QR code scanners and other things from their possession,’’ said, officials, TSANB.

Gautam Singh, and Neetu Bai have been involved previously in ganja peddling cases and they all are family members. Despite this, they continued their illegal activities and were selling ganja under the veil of Kirana stores (grocery stores).

“They were selling ganja sachets among the people brought from Dhoolpet to Nanakramguda. However, they have been arrested and further probe is on to expose those who are involved in the network,’’ added, Chakravarthy, TSANB DCP.
