The  DCP LB Nagar Sai Sri B reportedly failed to appear before Telangana State Minority Commission (TSMC) for the clarification in Mohammed Imran missing and murder case.

Mohammed Imran, 21-years-old resident of Bhagat Singh Nagar, Phase-2, Saroonagar had gone missing and a complaint was lodged in Saroonagar Police Station by his family seeking probe into the matter.

Though the family had been visiting and meeting senior police officials including ACP LB Nagar and Inspector of Police Saroonagar  but they were shocked to know about it when a Telugu daily newspaper reported on August 14, 2023 that Mohammed Imran has been murdered and his body has been burnt and ashes has been thrown into river Musi.

Later, family contacted Amjed Ullah Khan (Spokesman) MBT for help and he visited Bhagat Singh Nagar and met the family and other people in the locality.

“I again on 15th Aug 2023 visited Saroonagar Police Station along with family and locality people to know the facts of Mohammed Imran missing case, then the police officials said that Mohammed Imran was called by one Laxman Singh @ Sonu to settle an bike repair dispute among them on 5th Aug and later was murdered by  Laxman Singh @ Sonu and his body cut into six pieces and burnt and ashes thrown in Musi,” said, Amjedullah Khan, adding that “On investigation by Saroonagar Police it was reveled that Laxman Singh @ Sonu five others Arun Kumar, Shekhar, Shyamsundar, Rahul and Satish also took part in this heinous crime as per CCTV footage at a Shamshanghat under Meetpet Police Station limits. In a very secretive manner to supress and hide this incident the Saroonagar Police sent all criminals to Judicial Custody without any Press Conference or Press Note, Why the Police did all this no one knows,”

Mr. Khan further notified that DCP LB Nagar had answered to a tweet by Amjed Ullah Khan to an inquiry about this case and accepted the heinous crime.

“but till today even after 17 days past the A1 Laxman Singh @ Sonu has not been arrested by our Telangana State No-1 Police and Mohammed Imran mortal remains had not been handed over to his family members.Aggrieved by non-coperation and no serious action Mohammed Imran’s mother Mumtaz Begum petitioned Telangana State Minorities Commission for necessary intervention and direction in this case,” added, Mr. Khan.

The Secretary TSMC, however, issued a notice to Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda to submit a report on this issue and also asked  DCP LB Nagar to personally appear in this case and posted the matter on Aug 21.

“The DCP LB Nagar didn’t appear before the Honorable Commission but on her behalf Sri Janaki Reddy, ACP LB Nagar of Rachakonda Commissionerate appeared before the Honorable Commission and requested the Commission for more 10 days time to solve this issue,” said, Amjed Ullah Khan, spokesperson, MBT.

The Minorities Commission was dissatisfied by the reply of ACP LB Nagar insisted on physical appearance of DCP LB Nagar and gave more 24 hours time and again assured the victim family of justice.

There are number of questions being raised in this investigation by saroonagar police as why they are being so secretive in investigation and why they have failed to arrest the main accused Laxman Singh @ Sonu till now. When it has been confirmed that missing Mohammed Imran had been murdered and body burnt then why the Saroonagar Police is not handing over the mortal remains for final rites?
