HIMACHAL: Flash floods in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh claimed the lives of seven people on Monday, and rescue efforts are on-going to trace them.
According to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sing Sukhu Himachal Pradesh rains continue to lash the state, seven persons were washed away in a flash-flood in Mandi on Monday. The police and disaster management authorities have started rescue operations and are trying to trace the missing persons.
Mandi district, which includes Sambhal, witnessed the flash-flood and has been receiving heavy rains for the last two days.
Chief Minister Sukhu shared a shocking video of the flash flood in Mandi, saying it was a “terrible situation”. He said that seven people had been taken away by the floods, and that rescue, searching, and relief efforts were in full swing,”
Himachal Pradesh under heavy rain and cloudburst causing disruption to normal life. Several people have lost their lives and many others have wounded due to rain-related incidents the state.
