Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) Bus services here on Saturday suddenly came to a halt after scores of employees staged a protest demanding immediate approval of the merger bill. The Government of Telangana has decided to merge TSRTC and the bill has been sent to State Governor for the approval.
But the delay in signing the bill by Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan drove RTC employees to boycott services. The RTC unions including drivers, conductors took part in the protest at different places across the State.
They stay away from their work and threatened to intensify the agitation if the bill is not signed forthwith. The employees wearing black badges, raising slogans gathered outside the Depots demanding to approval the merger bill.
The Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan in her tweet message stated that she was pained to know about the strike called by the TSRTC employees which is creating inconvenience to the common citizen of the State.
