At least one person died and several others reportedly injured in a clash that broke out between two communities during a procession taken out by VHP and Banranj Dal in Nuh district of Haryana on Monday. The Internet services were suspended, prohibitory order imposed and additional forces sought from the center to control the situations.
The police had to use power to disburse the mob by using tear gas shells as the tension continued to flare up that led Government to suspend Internet services by August 2.According to Police, Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra stopped near Khedla Mod in Nuh, where stone pelting started between two groups and vehicle set on fire due to this many people have been wounded.
The procession was flagged off by BJP district president Gargi Kakkar from Gurugrams’ Civil lines. According to reports, tension prevailed with a provocative and objectionable video appeared on Social Media by Bajrang Dal activist in Ballabhgarh.
There were also reports that a cow vigilante Monu Manesar, wanted in the killing of two Muslims in Rajasthan was about to join the procession. However, Chief Minister M L Khattar, appealed people to maintain peace and tranquility in the State.
