Congress Party here on Saturday staged a protest against the apathy of the civic authorities and BRS leaders towards prevailing unhealthy ambience in certain localities under Srilingampally constituency.
Mahipal Yadav, Congress contested Corporator, Kondapur Division along with party workers visited Ayyappa Temple nearby Kondapur RTO office and inspected rain affected area Prem Nagar, B Block New Hafeezpet.
He drew attention towards certain problems being faced by the people, due to the unhygienic atmosphere. Congress leader said that despite several reminding and requests no corrective measures were being taken up to resolve the issues.
“An overflowing drain in front of Ayypa Temple and Manjeera water leakage has been much inconvenience to everyone passing through the route. The matter, however, has brought to the notice of concerned authorities seeking immediate action, but nothing has been done to resolve the problem. Minister KTRS always refers to IT Hub but fail to heed towards such prevailing unhealthy ambience, which has become a matter of concerned for the residents. The devotees and passersby facing immense trouble to visit the temple,’’ Mahipal Yadav, congress leader registered his protest against the Srilingampally authorities and BRS leaders.
He demanded GHMC higher-ups and BRS MLA & Corporator to visit the locality and respite people from unhygienic atmosphere. He also met a resident at Premnagr, B Block, New Hafeezpet where knee deep water has entered the house due to heavy rain.
The resident, however, did not receive any kind of help from officials concerned to drain out water.
