Patel Nagar residents protested against the apathy of the concerned authorities and political leaders as they reportedly failed to reach out them. They complained that despite several complaints no one visited the locality.

“We do not find any leader now in the localities while they only appear to seek our votes at the time of elections. Water logging, overflowing drains has now become a matter of concerned for us, even cannot step out in case of any emergency in this water. We have suffered a lot last year also and now the same problem being faced with heavy rains,’’ one of the angry residents from Patel Nagar, Bandlaguda told Media.

Osman Nagar, still under water and the residents have been waiting desperately to recede the flood water for the last four years. Locals made several complaints and registered their protest seeking to drain out flood water, but nothing has been done except hollow words.

“Osman Nagar residents have been suffering for the last 4 years and several complaints have been made to Government of Telangana to respite people from the flood water. However, no initiatives have been taken to address the issues. Due to this, they are staying in rented houses, despite having their own property, but still under water. Government of Telangana and Sabita Indra Reddy, Education Minister are not bother about Osman Nagar’s people sufferings,’’ said, Uzma Shakir, leader Congress.

Some localities under Jalpally Municipality are reportedly ignored and lack of basic amenities still a matter of concern for the residents. The Congress Party demanded BRS Government to ensure immediate initiatives to drain out flood water from Osman Nagar.
