A group of women here on wednesday organised a protest against Manipur violence and demanded State Government to break its silence to deplore the violence.
The protest was organised by Shaheen Women Resource & Welfare Association to deplore the violence against women in Manipur.
Jameela Nishat, chairperson, Shaheen Women Resource & Welfare Association took strong exception against the prevailing condition and violence with women in Manipur. She appealed people to voice against Manipur violence.
“We want everyone to raise voice againstĀ violence with women and it should be stopped. The State Government should break it silence over the issues,” said, Jameela Nishat, chairperson, SWRWA.
Scores of women had gathered with posters and banners seeking justice with Manipur women being faced insecurity and violence.
