Monsoon fury continued across Telangana State and a year’s rain was just recorded in a day. The reservoirs, lakes are overflowing causing posing serious threats and prevailing alarming situations in certain parts of the State.
The Moranchapally village, Bhupalapalli Mandal has completely submerged overnight due to heavy rainfall caused by the overflowing Morancha stream. The situation turned critical as the water has entered the houses, forcing people to move on the buildings and rooftops. The authorities have been requested to help them out as the flood water continue to increase.
The severity of the floods also led a complete standstill on the Bhupalpally-Parkal National Highway, while the traffic jam is being reported. The videos shared by the locals showed that Lorries have been submerged in the increasing waters and drivers and shopkeepers seeking refuge on the buildings and rooftops waiting for help.
National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams said to have deployed to reach out people stuck under rain fury at Moranchapalle.
