Telangana Director General of Police, Mr. Anjani Kumar sincerely appealed people of the State to avoid venturing out during rain.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) sounded red alert for Telangana, which means heavy to heavy rainfall is expected in next 24 hours.
“Due to heavy rains across Telangana State, citizens are advised to come out only for extremely important work at night times.
Present situation is currently under control. Telangana Police, from home guard officers to the DG level, are well-prepared, and every hour from each PS situation reports are being collected,” tweeted, DGP Telangana with a audio message.
Public also advised to cooperate police and dial 100 in case of any emergency.
“The public is requested to refrain from going out unless there is an emergency. In case of any emergency, dial 100.Telangana State Police is ready to assist everyone, kindly cooperate,” Mr. Anjani Kumar, DGP, Telangana Police.
In the light of heavy rainfall forcast Government of Telangana declared two day holidays to all the educational institution across the State.
