Normal life came to a grinding halt due to heavy rain that lashed across the city of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
The heavy rainfall left several roads inundated making it tough for commuters to their way through them.
And even as motorists struggled to wade through the water and manholes in places were exposed following the downpour, which caused much inconvenience to both travelers and local residents.
The Met officials issued more rain warning, both for the city and the rest of Telangana. “The City will continue to witness moderate to heavy rain for the next 48 hours,’’
Meanwhile, complaints of water-logging started pouring in with multiple pockets either submerged in the water or drains in the area completely choked.
The traffic going towards Raidurg Metro Station and Hi-Tech City came to halt due to water logging and traffic was moving at a snails pace.
Charminar, Malakpet Chanchalguda, Nampally, Tolichowki, Banjarahills Himayathnagar,Secretariat, Shaikpet, Raidurg, Gachibowli, Kondapur, Alwal, Secunderabad, and others parts of the areas received heavy rain.
GHMC, Police, and DRF teams were busy to clear water logging and regulating traffic movement. The roads and streets had turned into pool causing trouble to motorists and passersby at several in twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
