A family from Hyderabad has sought help of the external affairs ministry to trace their son, who is missing from Riyadh and the family has not been able to contact since last 45 days.
Mohammed Akram resident of Mohammed Nagar, Shaheen Nagar, Hyderabad, Telangana holder of Indian Passport No: M2929615, who was working as a house driver in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia since last six years. The family, however, was being paid regularly and was visiting Hyderabad every two years, but there is no response for the last 45 days.
According to family, he last spoke to his mother and father during the Hajj and had promised to meet them once he gets permission from his Kafeel since then he is not in touch with them. When inquired from the kafeel about Akram he said that he is not on job since many days and his parents returned Hyderabad without meeting him.
Later, the family met Amjed Ullah Khan, Spokesman to help on finding their son. Mr Khan requested Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar Minister for External Affairs, Government of India and Indian Embassy in Riyadh, KSA to locate Mohammed Akram as soon as possible.
“My brother Mohammed Akram was working as a house driver with Tarik and was being paid regularly from Saudi Arabia. The parents Mohammed Rasheed and Muneer Jani who had gone to perform Hajj, tried to meet my brother and contacted him. My brother last called and spoke to my parents 45 days back since then my brother is not in touch with us,’’ the family wrote to Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, MEA, Govt of India.
