Normal life came to a halt due to incessant rains at many places in Hyderabad and Secunderabad areas. Water logging, overflowing drains reported from certain places including Srilingampally Railway Bridge, DK Road, Rankigunj, Secunderabad.

The authorities had to divert traffic movements at certain places in Hyderabad and Secunderabad due to water logging. The road has been shut owing to water logging under Srilingampally Railway Bridge and traffic movements were diverted.

Locals complained that for the last nine years they have to face water logging and road closure under Srilingampally Railway Bridge thought the matter was brought to the notice of the authorities many times, but nothing has been done to address the issue.

 

“We have been facing this problem for the last nine years and commuters are forced suffer a lot every time, when it rains. The Government is not taking any repair work under this bridge and no corrective steps initiatives to flow out the water,’’ said, one of the commuters.

Vinay Kotimredy, contested MLA from Srilingampally objected over the delay in addressing the water logging problem under Railway Bridge and sought Government of Telangana to take immediate note of the problems being faced by the people in the Srilingampally constituency.

“Delay in solution for a small problem leads to hazardous situation every year to the main leading to Hi-Tech City,’’ Vinay Kotimreddy, TPCC General Secretary, and contested MLA Srinlingampally.

Rains related videos being shared by the residents on social media drawing attention towards the problems being faced by them. According to Weather Reports, heavy rainfall is expected in next 48 hours.
