In view of Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid festival) a coordination meeting was held at Salarjung Museum on Tuesday to ensure peaceful and smooth conduct of the festival.
The meeting was attended by Hyderabad City Police Commissioner C.V Anand, GHMC, Animal Husbandry Department Officers, Muslim Clerics, and discussed over the upcoming festival.
Muslim clerics and Public Representatives have sincerely appealed to the Muslims to dispose the animal viscera properly to keep the streets neat & clean and cooperate with the Police.
“Its our collective responsibility to upheld the Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb of our city and maintain peace.” appealed made by the religious and political leader during the meeting.
Sailaja, Joint Commissioner, GHMC said that all possible initiatives were being taken up and additional teams, garbage collecting vehicles would deployed in wards and nearby Mosques.
Addressing the gathering, City Police commissioner CV Anand assured that only police personnel, GHMC and animal husbandry staff will man the check posts.
“Instructions were given to all officers to take foolproof security and traffic management measures. Patrolling will be intensified and the force will be on stand to.” he said.
“Comprising all department officers- Local, zonal, and commissionerate level coordination groups were formed for better liaising,” he concluded.
The officials also took note of the problems reported during the meeting and assured resolving at the earliest.
