Over 200 passengers have died and dozens of other wounded in a train mishap taken place in Balasore District of Odisha on Friday night.
The tragedy taken place when Coromandel Express coaches derailed causing huge loss of lives. The collistion taken place near the Bahanaga Railway Station and several passengers fear to be trapped inside the coaches.
The authorities who are busy to shift the injured different hospitals and bringing out dead bodies from the coaches.
A good train and Bengaluru-Howrah superfast express trains are involved in the collision. Ashwini Vaishnaw, Railway Minister, announced Rs 10 lakh compensation to the kin of the deceased, Rs 2 lakh for seriously injured and Rs 50 thousand for minor injuries.
Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister, Odisha told that he had reviewed the situation and would visit the spot tomorrow morning.
“I have just reviewed the situation about this truly tragic railway accident. I will be visiting the spot tomorrow morning,” said, Odisha CM while talking to media.
The passengers who were in the trains at the time of derailment narrated about horrific moment that left hundreds of wounded.
The videos and pictures of the train accident being circulated on social media. The locals rushed to the hospitals to donate blood for the injured being treated in various hospitals.
