Hyderabad| Donated relief material goes missing from Haj-House premises, complaint lodged,

Donated relief materials for the victims of Turkey and Syria reportedly gone missing from the premises of Haj-House Nampally. The matter came to light on Monday after a police complaint has been lodged with Abids Police.

Syed Zeeshan Saabri, a complaint has claimed that the relief materials donated by several people from different places have reportedly been disappeared from the Haj-House premises, where it was relocated to send the relief for Turkey and Syrian victims.

“Following an appeal many people had come forward and donated relief materials in January, 2023. The materials including blankets, tents, food and other essential supplies had been given as a donation by the people. last month, when it was checked the relief had not been sent and was assured to dispatch it within 10 days.  but to my surprise, the relief materials had gone missing that led me to file police complaint,” said, Syed Zeeshan Sabri, who lodged a police complaint seeking probe into the matter.

When contacted Masiullah Khan, chairman, Telangana State Waqf Board (TSWB) said that he had appealed for a noble cause but know nothing about the relief materials and donations made by the people.

“I had made an appeal for a noble cause and asked people to come forward to help out for the earthquake victims. As far as, relief materials is concerned I have nothing  to do it and do not know anything about it,’’ said, Masiullah, Chairman, TSWB.
