Hyderabad: YSRTP Chief Sharmila remanded to 14 days judicial custody for manhandling cops

YS Sharmila, president, YSRTP here on Monday was arrested by the Jubilee Hills Police for allegedly manhandling with a police officer and women constables.

Later, she was produced  in the court by the police where the court remanded her to 14 days judicial custody.

The tension prevailed when Sharmila was not allowed to proceed and stopped by the Police outside her residence Lotus Pond.

YS Sharmila, wanted to submit a representation to SIT over TSPSC paper leak, but the cops denied her permission to go ahead. She strongly objected over the police action and sought clarification over the denial permission.

The heated argument also ensued between cops and YS Sharmila that led to manhandling and misbehaving with women constables. Later, she was taken into custody and shifted Jubilee Hills Police Station.

According to the details, YS Sharmila wanted to undertake a hunger strike under the banner of ‘Telangana Students Action for Vaccancies and Employement but the police had denied her permission to protest and to hold hunger strike.

YS Vijayamma slaps woman constables

YS Vijayamma, immediately after the arrest of YS Sharmila reached at the Jubilee Hills Police Station to see her daughter. The police, however, stopped YS Vijayamma and did not allow to her see daughter in the police station. She lost her cool and slapped woman constable in the police station.
