At least three people have been killed and several others wounded after a LPG cylinder exploded at Bhartiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) meet venue in Khammam District of Telangana on Wednesday.
According to Police, the tragedy struck when the party workers set off crackers to welcome their Chief Guests MP Nama Nageshwara RAo and MLA Ramulu Naik at the venue. In the meantime, one of the fire crackers fell on a small hut that led to break out fire and exploding a cylinder.
Almost ten people said to have received serious burn injuries and two of them succumbed to their injuries in hospital. The others are being treated in the hospital and their condition said to be out of danger.
The Chief Minister K. Chandrashekra Rao has expressed shock and grief over the incident and assured to provide all possible aid to the bereaved families of the deceased party workers.
A tragedy occurred in Chimalapadu village of Karepalli, Khammam district, where a fire broke out during a BRS spiritual gathering attended by MP Nama Nageswara Rao & MLA Ramulu.
