Bandi Sanjay, president, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) was arrested for alleged role in SSC paper leak case on Wednesday.
Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Telangana the State BJP President was taken into custody by the police from his residence in Karimnagar. BJP Chief was charged under CRPC 154 and 157 by the police.
According to Police, Bandi Sanjay was reportedly involved in SSC paper leak due to this his arrested was made.
The apprehension of the BJP State President sparked protest in Telangana and Police action is being condemned by the Party leaders.
At some places, CM KCR effigies were also burnt by the BJP leaders and workers in protest against the arrest of their Chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar. They demanded Government of Telangana to release him immediately.
Meanwhile, Tarun Chugh, BJP, National General Secretary and Party in-charge of Telangana announced to undertake state-wide agitation against the illegal arrested of the Bandi Sanjay in alleged paper leak case.
It may be mentioned here that SSC question papers leak has created a political turmoil in Telangana State. Though, some individuals have also been arrested involved in papers leak and the arrest of the Bandi Sanjay has caused to add political unrest.
