“Throw out long-dominance of illegal occupants from Toli-Masjid land,’’ Waqf activists

A delegation headed by Osman Bin Mohammed Alhajri, president, Deccan Waqf Protection Society (DWPS) here on Friday met Telangana State Waqf Board (TSWB) CEO, seeking to consider over Toli-Masjid’ land case and initiate legal action against the land grabbers.

The delegation comprising Advocates, Waqf Activists have submitted a representation and demanded TSWB to come out with stern action against the illegal encroachments. They urged chief executive officer (CEO) of TSWB to throw out long-dominance of the illegal occupants from Toli-Masjid land.

Osman Bin Mohammed Alhajri, president, DWPS said that all efforts would be made to reclaim Toli-Masjid land and would soon expose all the land grabber involved in Toli-Masjid land case.

“The land grabbers must remember it and will not let you to proceed. All possible legal efforts will be made against you (land grabbers), as you have encroached on a religious place. We have made our mind to proceed and will not bow down to any pressure. We will expose all your tactics to throw out from the Toli-Masjid’s land,’’ said, Osman Bin Mohammed Alhajri, president Deccan Waqf Protection Society (DWPS), while talking to media outside TSWB.

Waqf Activists and Lawyers took strong exception against the TSWB officials alleged apathy towards protecting  Waqf properties.  The delegation further alleged that despite several representations and meeting with Board officials, nothing has been done.

 “Several representations have been made to protect the Waqf properties across the state and today also we have come here  seeking clarification, as to why not action is being taken against the illegal-occupants in Toli-Masjid land case. The CEO, however, assured us to initiative action against the land grabbers soon. If the trend continues then we will undertake a mass movement and will start agitation along with Advocates, NGOs and different political parties to safeguard the Waqf  lands in Telangana,’’ said, an Advocates from the delegation.
