Nikhat Zareen registered another victory in Women’s World Boxing Championship held at the Indra Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi on Sunday.
She won 5-0 victory in the final of 50kg category to register her another consecutive title.
Nikhat Zareen has become the second Indian Woman Boxer after Mary Kom to have more than one world titles.
“I am very much greatful to everyone, who supported me to become a world champion,”Nikhat Zareen expressed happiness on her historical victory.
Lovlina Borgohain (75 kg) is eyeing history in her final match.
She will take on Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Caitlin Parker of Australia in the 75kg final, eyeing her maiden gold in the tournament.
On Saturday, Indian pugilists Nitu Ghanghas (48kg) and Saweety Boora (81kg) had also won gold in their respective categories.
