Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification from the Lok Sabha membership has sparked protest in Hyderabad.
On Saturday, Mahila Congress and Youth Congress jointly organized a protest; in front of the BJP’s State office at Namapally and burnt PM Modi’s effigy.
Later, the police intervened and took them into custody, when they tried to proceed towards BJP office.
It may be mentioned here that Rahul Gandhi has been disqualified from serving in Parliament, a day after receiving a two-year prison sentence for defaming PM Modi.
The move has only surprised the nation but also shocked everyone in the country. Opposition parties have deplored Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification from Lok Sabha and alleged that BJP government is killing the democracy.
