Hyderabad: The police here on Friday foiled the Osmania University (OU) students fast and taken them into custody. Students Unions has undertaken fast over TSPSC paper leak in the campus seeking immediate fair and transparent probe into the matter.
The angry protestors raised anti-government slogans and deplored the police action taken against them. Meanwhile, a group of Hyderabad Youth Congress gathered at the NCC gate and staged a protest by burning the Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s effigy. The police, however, also foiled their bid to proceed towards the campus.
Earlier, TPCC president Revant Reddy has been placed under house arrest, as he was invited by OU Students Unions to join them in the fast undertaken against the TSPSC paper leak. The police did not allow him to join protest and placed him under house arrest as a preventive measures.
Moreover, Tamilisai Soundarajan, Governor of Telangana State sought a fresh report over TSPSC paper leak within 48 hours.
