Hyderabad: Whether it is a seasonal or unseasonal rain, lead to overflowing drains, and prevailing unhealthy ambience in many parts of old city.
Though the matter is frequently brought to the notice of concerned authorities to address the problems being faced by the residents. The authorities have reportedly failed to resolve their issues.
Mohammed Ahmed, Telangana TDP, Minority Vice President, GHMC told Voiceup Media that old city issues have completely been cornered by the GHMC officials and Hi-City surroundings were being developed.
“The pathetic condition of the roads and unhealthy atmosphere has been a matter of concern for many people. Several complaints are made and insist to the authorities to come out with permanent solutions, but they do not appear to be serious to take note of the residents being suffered most during such weathers,” said, Mohammed Ahmed, Leader TDP from the old city of Hyderabad.
Apart from this, newly laid roads have exposed the failure and apathy of the contractors as the overflowing drains causing much inconvenience to the residents.
“A new road was laid last week, besides Mohammedia Medical Hall opposite Khilwath Ground. Please check the quality of the material and work. Its not even proper leveling, resulting water logging and accumulation of water,” one of the Khilwath residents told Voiceup Media.
It was also complained that due to unhealthy atmosphere in the localities, residents health was being affected.
“Many people health is being affected at several places in old city areas and children are mostly affected. Cough, Cold and fever has become a common these days. We request the Government of Telangana to take immediate note these problems being faced by the residents in old city,” another resident Anwar told Voiceup Media.
Another resident from Laldarwaza area sent a video attached below and notified the problem.
“This is the situation at our Bangaru Telangana, Chapalgalli, Laldarwaza Hyderabad. In spite of several complaints to the concerned officers, there is no resolution,”
