The unexpected hailstorm accompanied by heavy gales, thunderstorm and lightening brought to halt normal life in Vikarabad District of Telangana.
In viral videos shown the roads and streets, have been covered with white blanket of snowball due to unexpected hailstorm lashed at many places in Vikarabad District on Thursday.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain could be expected at many places across Telangana in next 2-3 days.
Similarly, normal life came to halt in the old city of Hyderabad with sudden heavy downpour of rain accompanied by heavy gale, thunderstorm and lightening.
Accumulation of rain of water on busy roads and in the localities caused trouble to the people. Apart from this, power supply disrupted for many hours due to heavy rain at certain places in the old city of Hyderabad.
“The power outage for many hours added to public woes during the rain and the complaints have been made to concerned authorities,” said, one of the residents from Ali Nagar.
