A NRI, IT Engineer, alumini of MJCET settled in Chicago, USA, has come forward to sponsor a Primary Health Care Center setup by HHF-SEED, in one of the most remote and downtrodden slums of Hyderabad.
With this HHF-SEED will have 8 PHCS in Urban slums of old city and 4th in the catchment area of Shaheenagar – Pahadi Sherif.
Abdul Manan Khan, is also Board Member of SEED-USA and has donated Rs 12 lacs(Anum), to provide high quality Primary Health Care to the inhabitants of Pahadi Sherif, a hilly terrain, with no source of potable water and proper sewage system.
The PHC will serve 100-125 patients per day, it will save about Rs 2k to 3k per month per family, this will not only improve their health but will save thier medical expenses, that they will use now for their childrens education and food.
“Today the clinic was formally inaugurated by Jeelani Begum* mother of the donor, under whose name it will IA function. We Pray to Allah for the well-being of Br Manan’s family and hope that many more NRIs will come forward to give back to society,” said, Mujtaba Hassan Askari, president Helping Hand Foundation.
