Scores of the Karni Sena members led by Jeevan Singh Sherpur ended their protest in Bhopal on Wednesday after the cooperative minister Arvind Singh Bhadoriya assured them to resolve their issues.
The Sena members were on an indefinite strike while hundreds of his supporters were squatting on the road seeking to fulfill their demands. Minister Bhadoriya was in touch with Karni Sena leaders and came out with an agreement.
As per the agreement, a committee would be formed to examine 18 of the 22 points charter of demands of the Karni Sena. The rest of the demands, the state government would apprise the central government about their sentiments. The extension of EOW reservation to more people, softening of prevention of atrocities on SC/ST ACT, and revoking GST on food grains and edibles.
It may be mentioned here scores of Karni Sena members had gathered at Jamboree ground seeking to fulfill their demands and had undertaken an indefinite strike against the government.
