A cold wave is expected to sweep across Telangana in the next three days as minimum temperatures are predicted to drop below 10 degrees Celsius.
The Indian Meteorological Department predicted that Hyderabad city would be under the spell of severe cold weather under the influence of a western disturbance.
The minimum temperature is likely to dip below 13 degrees Celsius. The localities including Rajendranagar, Karwan, L.B. Nagar, Hayathnagar are on alert as the night temperatures may further reach sing digits. The maximum temperatures, however, in Hyderabad city may range between from 27 degrees Celsius to 28 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature in the city of Hyderabad was recorded at 18.7 degrees Celsius on Saturday. While the severe cold persisted in certain districts as the mercury remained its descending trend.
The orange-coded warning has been issued for Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Nirmal, Kamareddy, and other districts.
