A major incident was averted after the passengers rushed out from a private bus, which suddenly caught fire near JNTU Metro Station in Kukatpally on Friday night.
The cause of the fire was not known immediately as more part of the bus was destroyed within a few minutes.
According to the details, the bus came to an immediate halt by the driver as he noticed the smoke was coming out from the AC unit, and in no time the fire spread in the bus. The passengers who were traveling on the bus managed to rush out safely.
The incident took place when AC sleeper bus was on its way to Goa from Hyderabad. The Police, however, have registered a case and an investigation is on.
