Hyderabad: Lady fruit seller alleges harassment, sought help

A woman fruit seller on Sunday alleged that some unsocial elements were harassing her over a land dispute and police reportedly failed to take action in this matter.

N.Geeta, 50-years-old proprietor of Bismillah Fruit House at Jam Bagh Mauzam Jahi Market in Hyderabad claimed that she had been running a fruit business for past many years in the locality and she was driven out from her shop without issuing any notice.

“I am running a fruit business (Bismillah Fruit House) situated at Jam Bagh for the last several years. But suddenly some people with cops entered into my shop and brought down my business,’’ Geeta, said, while talking to media outside her shop and added that though the matter was brought to the notice of the Police officials seeking help and action against those involved in harassing and mentally torturing her, but reportedly nothing has been done.

“I have filed a police complaint seeking action but nothing has been done to help me out by the police in this regard,’’ alleged, Geeta, Bismillah Fruit Shop owner.

She, however, requested Government of Telangana and Police higher-ups to intervene in the matter and justify with her.
