YSRTP President Y.S Sharmila has been hospitalized after two days of hunger strike against the government for denying her permission to hold a Padyatra (foot march) in the state.

The doctors, monitoring Sharmila’s health informed that her blood pressure and glucose level have fallen and expressed concern over dehydration.

Sharmila was also detained by the Police over the protest. The tussle between BRS (formerly TRS) and YSRTP intensified after the YSR convey was attacked by BRS men in Warangal District.

As a protest, YS Sharmila tried to lay siege to the CM Camp office in Hyderabad but was foiled in her bid to proceed by taking her into custody.
