Hyderabad: Cab driver stripped and thrashed at Rajendranagar, relatives seek justice

  A cab driver was forcibly stripped and thrashed blacked and blue by his friends under Rajendrangar police station limits on Tuesday.

According to Police, Arif, a cab driver, was randomly taken from Lungar Houz to an under-construction building by his five friends over alleged financial and other disputes.

The victim was stripped and beaten up badly with bare hands and later with a belt. Despite several pleas to let him go but he was beaten up and videographed by one of his friends.

The matter came to light when the video went viral and the victim approached the police and lodged a complaint.

Rajendra Nagar Police Inspector B. Nagendra Babu said that the accused were booked on the charge of kidnap, assault, and violation of information Technology Act.

The relatives told Media that the man had been attacked earlier also but no action has been taken against the attackers.

“The goons have attacked my brother before this also and we have lodged a complaint with Rajendra Nagar police, but no action was taken against them that caused to encouraged them and led to another attack,’’ alleged, victim’s elder brother.
