Hyderabad: “Babri Masjid was, is and it will be till the day of judgment,’’

Hyderabad: Observing the 30th anniversary of the demolition of Babri Masjid, a group of women and students here on Monday staged a protest against razing the Babri Masjid and sought its reconstruction at the same place.

The women had gathered at Eidgah Ujale Shah ground at Saidabad, offered prayers, and demanded the re-building of the Babri Masjid at the same site. The agitated women alleged that the mosque was demolished and taken away from Muslims with power.

“December, 6, will be observed as a day of black, a day of grief, a day of prayer, and a day of the pledge. It has been the 30th year of the demolition of the Babri Masjid and it we can’t forget it, so we women and students have gathered here to pray for the reconstruction of the Babri Masjid at the same place,’’ said, one of the agitated women while talking to media at Edigah Ujale Shah.

The women vowed to continue their efforts till the rebuilding of the mosque at the same site. They also appealed to Muslims to observe ‘Black Day’ by closing down business establishments, and educational institutions and erecting black flags in the respective localities.

“We have prayed for the protection of all the existing mosques across the country and also cursed for those who are involved in the razing decade’s old Masjid,’’
