Parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh experienced widespread downpour across its various localities on Wednesday.
The heavy rainfall in Tirupati and few others Mandals including Vankatagiri, Balayapalli, and Dakkilli in the state has led to massive waterlogging on the roads and vehicular traffic came to halt at some localities and affected the normal life.
The heavy rains led to waterlogging and traffic snarls at major locations in Tirupati. The IMD said a depression over the West Midwest Bay of Bengal adjacent to South Andhra Pradesh caused to weaken over the South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and its adjoining areas.
“Due to the low pressure over the Bay of Bengal, light to moderate rain is expected across North Andhra in next two days,’’ said, IMD.
