14-foot-long python caught in Secunderabad

A 14-foot-long python was caught in a park located behind the Secunderabad Railway Station on Wednesday. Initially, the people thought it to be a Rat or something else was moving around under the garbage.

When the Gardening workers moved near it and remove the garbage, saw a large python hiding inside the wastage. The snake catchers were immediately informed about the presence of python in the park, who rushed to the post and caught it with the help of locals.

Python drew everyone’s attention in the locality being a busy place of Secunderabad.

Secunderabad also spelled sometimes as Sikandarabad is a twin city of Hyderabad and one of the six zone of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) of Telangana State. It is also the headquarters of the South-Central Railway Zone.

It named after the Mir Akbar Ali Khan Sikander Jah, Asaf Jah III, Nizam of the Asaf Jahi dynasty, Secunderabad was established in 1806 as British cantonment. Although both the cities are together referred as the twin cities, Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

Both the cities have different histories and cultures with Secunderabad having developed directly under British rule until 1948 and Hyderabad as the capital of the Nizam’s princely state of Hyderabad.
