New Delhi: In a heart-wrenching case, came to light in the National Capital Delhi, wherein a girl was reportedly killed by her boyfriend and chopped her in 35 pieces.
The body parts were kept in the fridge and thrown in the different places to keep in the dark a heinous crime.
According to the details, Aftab Ameen Poonawalla, 28, and Sharada Walkar, 26, both fell in love while working in Mumbai and had recently moved Delhi after facing opposition from their families.
They, however, used to have tiff over the marriage, which intensified and led to the killing of the girl.
Accused Aftab Ameen Poonawalla reportedly strangled Shraddha Walker to death on May 18. Then he chopped her body parts into 35 pieces and stored them up in a 300-litre fridge, which was especially bought to keep the body parts into it. The pieces were disposed of at different places of the Mehrauli Forest for over 18 days.
The entire matter came to light, when the victim’s father Vikash Madan Walker filed a missing complaint in Mumbai Police. The police, however, found last location of the victims in Delhi and on that base, the case was transferred to Delhi Police.
Delhi Police started investigation and took accused Aftab Ameen Poonawal into custody for the investigation. During the probe, he (accused) confessed to have killed Sharada Walker and thrown her body parts at certain places in Mehrauli. The accused, however, was arrested and investigation is on.
