South Australia badly hit by heavy rain and power outage

South Australia (SA) has badly hit by thunderstorms and heavy rain causing power outage across the State. More than 27 thousand houses and business establishments were badly affected, due to the rain fury and heavy gales.

The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) notified that there had been almost 143,000 lightning strikes over South Australia reported in last 24 hours. Trees were uprooted and power supply has been disrupted by the strong winds in the State.

According to Power Networks field crews were sought to interfere to help out with repairs as about 65 thousand properties remained sans power supply.  

“There were 423, 000 lightning strike recorded on Saturday along with heavy gale of 106 Kilometre per hour,’’ said, SA Power Networks.

Thus, the life has come to halt in South Australia, due to heavy rain and power out. Presently, thousands of people are being spent their day and night without power supply in the State.
