Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court here on Wednesday granted conditional bail to suspended BJP MLA Raja Singh in provocative remarks against Prophet Mohammed.
Karuna Sagar, his counsel said that Telangana High Court also quashed the charges under the Preventive Detention Act against T Raja Singh.
It may be mentioned here that Raja Singh was arrested for making objectionable remarks against Prophet Muhammad.
The police, however, filed an FIR against him after massive protests had erupted at several places in Hyderabad, demanding action against him.
Apart from this, Raja Singh was suspended by Bhartiya Janata Party for making provocative remarks against prophet Mohammed.
The appearance of a controversial video on social media had sparked protests against Raja Singh and Muslims had demanded action against him for hurting their sentiments.
On Wednesday, Telangana High Court granted Raja Singh bail with certain conditions. He was also asked not to make any hate speech against any one.
When Raja Singh came out from Cherlapally prison then his many supporters burnt crackers and celebrated his released from jail.
“Tiger Raja Singh finally granted bail and we are much happy over his walk out. I want to make it clear that TRS government will sure face debacle in upcoming polls in Telangana State,” said, Laddu Yadav, one of the Saffron party leaders, while celebrating Raja Singh released.
