Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat on Wednesday took stock of the security arrangements made for the peaceful conduct of the Monogude byelection, to be held on November 3. A review meeting along with all Police officials was held headed by Mahesh Bhagwat.
Speaking to Media persons, Mahesh Bhagwat, CP, Rachakonda said that all possible steps had been taken to ensure smooth and peaceful passage of the polling in all the polling stations. “Foolproof security arrangements were made for the Munugode bye-election and Rachakonda Police Commissionerate is taking utmost care and extending support and co-operation to the Election authorities to complete the elections peace and successfully,’’ clarified, Mahesh Bhagwat, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda.
He said that Choutuppal and Narayanpur Mandals of Munugode Assembly Constituency are under the jurisdiction of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.
“Almost 82 Polling Stations and 122 out of 298 polling stations come under Choutuppal and Narayanpur mandals. However, the security has been geared up in the sensitive polling booths and 6 companies of Central Armed Police Forces have been deployed across the polling Stations,’’ pointed out Rachakonda Police Commissioner.
The Central Armed Police Forces including CRPF, CISF and RAF as well asmobile striking forces, special striking forces, special surveillance teams, flying squads were deployed. Also, control room has been set up to the security arrangements.
“Police teams are conducting vehicle checking drives round the clock at border check posts and around Rs 4 Crores cash, 1000 litres of liquor, 3.5 KGs of Gold and 11.5KGs of Ganja have been seized till now,’’ CP added.
