At least four persons were killed while another one injured after a container lorry rammed the car, in which they were travelling on the National Highway 44 at Seethagondi Village in Gudihathnoor mandal on Monday.
According to the police, the victims were identified were Syed Rafathullah Ahmed, 56, his elder daughter Sabiyam Hasmi, 26, Syed Wajahath,17, resident of Mohammed Nagar in Adilabad District and Shamsuddin, 50 driver, of the car from KRK colony in the town. Though the Dr. Zubiya Hasmi, the younger daughter of Rafathullah was injured in the accident.
Three men and a woman died on the spot while another is being treated at Gandhi Hospital. The police registered a case and investigation is on. The cause of the accident is suspected to be rash driving that lead to kill four persons.
