Police exhumed an underground explosive in the Laddudera Forest area in Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra on Tuesday. The matter was brought light by the Intelligence sources, which led Police to carry out search and unearth the explosive with the help of Bomb Squads in the Forest area.
Police had received an intelligence input that the Maoists had laid explosives in the forest area to the target security forces. Immediately after, the Bomb Squads and a team of commandoes rushed to the forest and carried out search operation.
The team has found two live pressure cooker bombs, a pistol, two claymore mines and Aluminum utensils. The bomb squads, however, defused the Pressure-cooker bombs and claymore mines without any further delay.
