Hyderabad Voiceup Media: The Traffic Police issued an advisory in view of the Milad-un-Nabi procession in the old city of Hyderabad, informing that traffic restrictions will be imposed between 8 am and 6 pm on Sunday.
The procession will start from Quadri Chaman, Gulam Murtuza Colony, Falaknuma and will pass through Aliabad, Laldarwaza, Charminar, Gulzar Houz, Madina, Nayapul, Salajung Museum, Purani Haveli, Etabar Chowk and culminate at Volta Hotel Bibi Bazar.
“The Traffic restrictions and diversion will be made on all the flyovers in Hyderabad except Begumpet flyover, Langer House flyover, Dabeerpura flyover, Lalapet flyover and PVNR express way on Oct 9, between 8 am to 6 pm. The procession will undertake from Quadri Chaman and will pass through Falaknum, Charminar, Madina, Nayapul, Purani Haveli, Chowk and will come to end at Moghalpura Bibi Bazar,’’ stated, in press released of the Hyderabad City Police.
Festive Atmosphere prevails
A festive ambience prevailed in many parts of Hyderabad with Muslims celebrating Milad-un-Nabi, the Birthday of Prophet Mohammed (SAW), on Saturday. The celebration is on the 12th day of Rabi ul Awal, the third moth of the Islamic calendar. The celebration begam from Monday evening across the old city with youths illuminated streets and put up welcome stages. Devotional songs were played and were sweet distributed among the public. Food camps are being organized for the last few days.
Blood camps
In view of Milad Un Nabi, some organization organized blood donation camps for thalassemia patients. Apart from this, medical camps were also held at some place in the old city of Hyderabad to observe Milad Un Nabi.
The Sunni United Forum of India (SUFI) announced to organize a procession from Dargah Quadri Chaman Falaknuma to Moghalpura on Oct 9. The procession will pass via Charminar, with tributary processions to join the main one en route. The City Police made elaborate security arrangements by deploying additional forces at several places across the Hyderabad.
